Tanya's Challenge - The Contest

Lily took the bait. She drove one punch high at Tanya's head to bring her guard high, and then slugged her hard in the middle of her stomach. The punch was the hardest one she had received to her stomach, but it did not incapacitate her like the previous ones Lily had thrown. It still hurt a lot and shot an electric arc of pain into her whole stomach, but she only grunted loudly and held her hand to the point of contact for a fraction of a second. She recovered fast enough that she was set for Lily's next attack. Maybe she was getting used to stomach punches or maybe Lily was losing strength. She didn't know.

Tanya's stomach was Lily's favorite target. Tanya kept her guard high, giving Lily a clear shot at her stomach. But for each punch to her stomach, Tanya got a chance to retaliate with a blow to Lily's head, ribs or even stomach, as Lily frequently left an opening Tanya could exploit. Most of the second and third rounds went this way. In the fourth round, it appeared Lily had realized she was receiving more punishment than she was giving with her stomach blows. She started targeting Tanya's upper body and head, tending to ignore her open, inviting stomach region. This made the fight more even. Tanya and Lily were pretty well matched in this kind of fighting. The rest of the round was a repeat of the first round, with Lily getting in more punches but Tanya doing more damage with each of hers that got through.

The fifth round started out the same way the previous round ended. But half way through it, Lily, breaking her cadence, threw a strong punch to Tanya's lower, unprotected stomach, barely above her crotch. As she bent over in pain holding her stomach, Lily slipped around behind her and got her in a side headlock. Tanya's head was exposed, and Lily brought her free hand up in a fist into her face, impacting on her cheek. Fortunately, Lily had left some room between her arm and her body, so Tanya was able to bring her inside arm up to protect her face from the second punch. With her other fist, Tanya proceeded to hammer Lily hard in the side of her stomach. Lily kept trying to punch her face, but eventually had to release her to protect her own vulnerable body.

As Lily was releasing the hold and backing away, she left her stomach unprotected for a fraction of a second. This was all that Tanya needed. She brought her tight fist in a strong arc up into Lily's upper stomach, pushing her internal organs up into her diaphragm. Lily gasped, letting out an explosion of air and tried unsuccessfully to get that air back into her lungs. She doubled over, but didn't fall. Tanya brought her knee up into her solar plexus, lifting her feet off the mat a little, but flipping her onto her back on the mat. Just then, the bell rang to end the round.

Lily got up and got back to her corner slowly. Tanya watched her as she went back. She thought up a plan for the next round, but it all depended on knowing exactly what Lily would do. If she guessed right, the next round would be the last, ending with her the winner. If she guessed wrong, Lily would probably win the bout and the match.

When the bell rang, Tanya was happy that Lily was slow getting out of the corner, indicating she had not fully recovered from the previous round. Tanya came at Lily, swinging with all her might. Lily was mostly defending, and did not really get in any effective punches of her own. At one point, Lily left her stomach unguarded, and Tanya kicked hard up into it with a front kick. Lily gasped as she had done before, but was not given the opportunity to recover even a little. Tanya came in close to her and started pistoning punches, first a right then a left, up into her stomach at the navel. Tanya used her body to keep Lily upright instead of letting her bend over forward as she continued to pour punch after hard punch into Lily's rapidly softening stomach muscles.

The thrust of her body against Lily and the force of her punches drove Lily backward. Tanya used her punches to steer her toward the corner, into the padded turnbuckles. Once there, she grabbed Lily's wrists in her hand and held them up high, away from her stomach. With her free hand, she pumped punch after solid punch into Lily's soft stomach muscles, from the middle of her lower stomach to just under her ribs, from the far left side of her stomach to the far right side, each one penetrating deep into her stomach. She then dropped Lily's hands, which fell limply to her sides. This left both of Tanya's fists free to continue punching Lily's stomach with a double impact. Lily didn't even have the strength to move her arms to cover her stomach, as Tanya continued her assault, all the while watching Lily closely.

Lily suddenly exploded away from the corner and started throwing punch after punch at Tanya, in a virtual flurry of blows. Tanya backed away rapidly and went on the defensive, trying to keep her distance and to absorb the blows when she failed. Lily got in many good blows to Tanya's body, but Tanya was able to take them with some damage. Meanwhile, Tanya was rapidly backpedaling around the ring, which helped to avoid the blows by keeping out of range and making Lily go after her. After a while, Lily's attack died out, as Tanya had hoped it would.

Tanya had been the victim of Lily's rapid recovery from a seemingly hopeless situation and furious counterattack before. In the previous ones, she had been the loser, as Lily had beaten her by the attack itself. Her plan for this round was for her to back Lily into that corner, then let her inevitable furious counterattack occur, while she protected herself from the attack as well as she could. She guessed Lily could not keep up that level of attack for long. She had been right.

Tanya went back on the offensive, this time with little resistance from Lily. She backed Lily up against the side ropes and renewed her punching deep into her stomach. With each punch, Lily would go into the ropes and rebound back, only to be met with Tanya's other fist. Lily was still holding on to consciousness, but Tanya didn't know how. She was taking a beating that would be the envy of any WWF wrestler, if those wrestlers used real punches. Tanya continued this, until the referee stepped between them.

Without Tanya's fist to stop her forward motion from the rebound off the ropes, Lily fell forward to the canvas twisting at the last minute to land on her side instead of her face. She slowly rolled onto her back, as the referee knelt down to her. He asked her if she submitted, but she said in a voice much too strong for her condition that she wouldn't. The referee had no choice but to let Lily get back up and to say to both the fighters, "Fight!"

Tanya knew precisely what that statement by Lily meant. She went after Lily' stomach again, but Lily did not even put up a fight, she was so weak. After the third blow to Lily's midsection, she fell back to the canvas. Tanya knelt down by Lily's side and drove a hard punch directly into her solar plexus. Lily jerked and coughed a little, and her head rolled a little from side to side. Tanya drew back her fist again, this time as far as she could. She drilled her strongest punch directly into Lily's solar plexus again, this time putting her whole body into the punch. She held the punch for several seconds, her fist buried deep in Lily's upper stomach, as deep as it could possibly go without coming out the other side. At this last punch, Lily passed out.
